Amanda Howell is a fifth grade math and science teacher. She started teaching at Harpeth Middle in 2014. She attended Volunteer State Community College where she earned her Associates of Science in Teaching Degree. Then went on to attend Austin Peay State University earning her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-6) in 2013. Originally from Gallatin,TN Mrs. Howell moved to Kingston Springs upon marrying her husband, Ben Howell, who teaches Agriculture at his alma mater Harpeth High School. They have one child, William, who was born in 2017. Outside of the classroom she enjoys attending Vanderbilt sporting events and taking family trips to Gatlinburg. In addition to the traditional classroom you will see her add hands-on and small group learning approach to her math and science classes. Mrs. Howell is looking forward to this new year of watching her students learn new skills and grow as productive members of society.
