Annoucements For The Week of December 5th

Hello again everyone:

Just 9.5 days left to go until the big break!

After the great success of our Caine’s Arcade night last month, we will be beginning our second round of school-wide RTI Projects this week.  Students will be choosing between a Drone Flying/Video Production and Design Project, a Research and Writing Project that involves a class-wide Musical Lip Sync Production, and an Art Project that allows students to study American contributions to WWII.  These projects will take place throughout the month of January and will culminate with special presentations in early-mid February.  We will then begin work on our 2nd school-wide project (molded after the style of the Caine’s Project) that we will work on up until early April.  Much more info coming soon on all of these exciting activities at HMS!

We are hosting our next Food Day Event next Wednesday (14th) or Thursday (weather dependent) and will be selling Hot Chocolate, S’mores and other fun items.  This time around we are raising money to hopefully install a school-wide Television Announcements system (similar to what you might have seen if you have visited CCCHS lately) in order to be able to be able to show off and celebrate student work and accomplishments across our school and also communicate important info throughout the day.  We are need in donations of Marshmallows, Hot Chocolate Mix, Hershey’s Chocolate Bars if you would be interested in donating!

This Friday December 9th, we will celebrate our favorite colleges! Please wear your favorite college gear or college colors. Hats are allowed!  We want to thank our Guidance Counselor, Ms. West, for organizing many of our upcoming College Activities and/or displays for the students of HMS

Everyone:  Please come out and support the HMS Band this Tuesday night at 7:00pm at HMS for their Winter Concert.  Please note that the concert will take place in the HMS Gym!

From Ms Johnson and Ms. Hummell:  Drama Club meets Tuesday.  Please make sure your child brings a folder or binder so he/she can receive their script.
