Annoucements For The Week of Feb 6th

I wanted to praise everyone that was a part of our incredible “Souperbowl Event” this past Friday at HMS.  It was wonderful to be able to recognize some extraordinary HMS Students during the event for their accomplishments this year and also to share in such a fun activity with many community members!

Check the "Lastest News" link at the top of this page to purchase a yearbook.

I wanted to remind everyone that this Friday is our next big Positive Behavior Celebration Event here at HMS.  DJ Johnny will be here for in-school dance and we will also be hosting a Kickball Tournament, a Board Game Room, a Big Screen Movie, and many other fin activities from which students will have to choose.  It is going to be an awesome event and I look forward to celebrating the wonderful behavior of the students of HMS.  The only exclusions from the event (this is event is only based around behavior and not academics) will be students that fall under the below categories.

1)      Students that have received ISS or OSS placements since Jan. 3rd

2)      Students that have been assigned ISS Lunch or Admin Detention 3 or more times during that period

3)      Students that have been identified as exhibiting patterns of negative behavior throughout the past month by their teachers-if you students appears on this list, your teacher will be contacting you by Thursday

Please don’t forget to make plans to attend our Spring Family Night here at HMS on March 21st starting at 6:30pm. The event will highlight the great work from many of our clubs here at HMS and will also include great presentations from each grade level.

I would like to invite all parents of students that have been participating in the “Power of One” Projects in RTI to please join us in the HHS Theater for the big presentations next Friday February 17th beginning at 9:00am!  This is going to be an exciting morning for these students that have been working hard on these projects!

Please don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @HMSIndians     Exciting stuff being shared every day!!
