Hello again for the final time in 2017!

We want to remind everyone that tomorrow is the Inflatable Reward Day at HMS to celebrate our students reaching our 1200 item fundraiser goal this year! Each grade level will be given a free play period during the day and the 10+ item sellers will also be receiving their extended time as a thank you for their work with the fundraiser. If you haven’t submitted the permission form for your student for the inflatables, please be sure your student does so immediately in the morning. We cannot allow students to participate on the inflatables if this form is not submitted and we cannot accept “call in permission” over the phone tomorrow. The form is again attached to this email and should be submitted to the home room teacher in the morning.

A reminder that we will be having a special in-school Holiday Program this Friday beginning at 8:30am in the gym that will include performances by the HMS Band, HMS Choir, the HMS Cheerleaders, and the HMS Cheatham Achievers Program. All parents are invited to attend!

Lunch Scan Cards - We have been using scan cards this year to expedite the lunch line in order for students to have more time to eat lunch. Students were given scan cards in August, and many students have lost their cards, causing the school to re-print and re-distribute several times. Starting in January, students will be held more accountable for keeping up with their scan cards. Students will be getting a more permanent solution on January 9 (lanyard with large clear badge holder) provided by the school. Students will be expected to present their cards each time they go through the lunch and breakfast lines. For students who habitually forget or lose their card/lanyards, strikes will be entered into our school-wide behavior system. As a reminder, strikes are essentially "warnings" until a multiple strikes are accumulated. If you had any mistakes with your fundraiser order, please contact and she will help you get everything corrected.
