Hello again HMS Parents!

Please be sure you are staying apprised of the Spring Calendar at the end of this message each week. We all know that spring is an incredibly busy time for our school and I am adding newly finalized dates to the list just about every week. One big day that I just added this week is the End of the Year Awards Ceremony. This will take place for 5th-8th grade on the morning of Friday May 18th in the gym. I will update as soon as we set the exact times for each grade, but they will all take place in the morning and all parents of students that will receive awards will receive an invitation prior to the ceremony.

Also just a reminder from the office staff to please refrain from picking up students from HMS after 2:00 on any day unless you have made prior arrangements with the office.

Also, we will accept Valentine’s Day deliveries on Wednesday during the day, but they will not be distributed to students until 2:00. We will collect all deliveries in a designated area throughout the day and volunteers will then make deliveries to classrooms between 2:00 and 2:30. A reminder that no vases, balloons, or large displays of any kind will be allowed on Cheatham County buses that afternoon. If a student receives an item of this variety, they must be taken home in a car.

Thanks to Ms. Greece and everyone else that has come together to organize our Talent Show! Following auditions last week, we have 15 awesome performances ready to for this Friday night at 7:00pm in the HHS Theatre! From dancers, to singers, to instrumentalists, to magicians, we have an awesome array of talented students set to perform and we hope you can join us on Friday evening. There is no admission price to attend, but we are asking for a requested (but not required) donation of five dollars per person. We hope to see you on Friday night! The 15 performers will also repeat their performances during a special in-school performance for all students passing all S2 classes on Tuesday the 19th at 1:15pm, also in the HHS Theater.
