About Taylor Newton

Hello All!

 

My name is Taylor Newton. I am a former athlete and a proud graduate of Harpeth Middle and Harpeth High School. For the past six years, I have worked in the county, serving as a special education assistant at Harpeth High School. I recently completed the Grow Your Own program and my apprenticeship in 4th grade at Kingston Springs Elementary, where I was fortunate to work with a wonderful mentor teacher. I will soon graduate with my Bachelor's degree in K-5 Elementary Education and Special Education.

 

I married my high school sweetheart, and we have three rambunctious kiddos. Fun fact: all of our names start with the letter "T," so you can have fun guessing my husband and kids' names!

 

I am thrilled to start my first year as a certified employee, taking on the role of 5th grade Interventionist. I also coach volleyball and basketball.  I feel blessed to work alongside some amazing teachers. Middle school is such an exciting time in a child's life, filled with new clubs, sports, and friendships. I am so excited to watch your child grow academically and personally. 

 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and playing sports, reading, and drinking coffee. I look forward to an incredible year ahead!
